Is anyone not having problems with the Naim App?

It seems there's quite a lot of Naimees having problems with the App, is there anyone not having problems? If so what's your setup?

I thought I was having problems with it, but it turned out to be a WISP issue...

ND5XS/XP5/NAC202/NAPSC/PSU/NAP200/NACA4/ProAc D15's

Pretty standard TP-link router, ethernet Cat7 connection into the streamer.

The last few releases have all worked fine for me with NDX and iPhone 6.

I thought I was but it turned out to be a WISP issue. Since sorting it, the app works fine.

NDS5X/XPS5X/NAC202/NAPSC/Cap/

NAP200/NACA4/ProAc D15's.

Standard TP-Link router, Cat7 ethernet cable to the streamer.

all working well for me with superuniti and iPhone 5SE. Also using WD My Cloud and virgin super hub 3.

Yes, I'm not having any problem with the app (on iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6+) ... with NAC-N272 and UnitiQute.

All working fine for me. I'm using v. 4.9 on an iPad to control an NDS. On my iPhone I'm using v5.6 which works fine too, although on that I often have to select the 'room', which seems to mean selecting the NDS, despite there being no other item to select.

Yep, all good here for my Superuniti and Android tablet. I have a BT HH6 router and a Cisco 2960 switch with wired connection to SU. Everything is fine and Tidal never drops out even with my 5-7MB rural copper ADSL connection. Occasional drop outs on internet radio in early evening but that's definitely ISP/internet related as my Logitech Squeezebox radio is worse if anything.

I had problems for ages with losing connections until I changed my £15 Tenda switch for the Cisco. It "shouldn't" make a difference but it definitely did. If your network is sound (and that doesn't just mean other devices can work OK) then the Naim setup is fine but it does seem more sensitive to sub optimal networks than most other devices.

99% fine, though occasionally a couple of minor issues.

I have Unitiserve & QNAP TS219 -> NDX, hardwired CAT5e, via Cisco 2960 switch, BT Home Hub 5; using Android mainly.

I have occasional problems with no rooms found, however I am coming to the conclusion that a turn off / reboot of my Cisco switch usually clears this.

Tidal is rock solid for me apart from the occasional issues with the Tidal service itself (ie. server overloaded, happened more in the early days) rather than anything to do with the App / Naim functionality

sometimes i have to restart the unitserve or the nds, or download again the app.  on rare occasions.

I find killing (force closing) the IOS app and immediately restarting it usually sorts out any issues. But separately I find very occasionally that my Unitiserve has gone off-net, but restarting it resolves that.

best

App works fine here on iPad Air2 and iPhone 5C

App works fine here 3x Unitis, WD NAS, Twonky, fuses in 'the wrong way round' etc. I missed out one upgrade (no autoupdating on the iPads for me thanks, ever, for ANY software) when I saw much wailing on the forum. Latest s/w seems fine.

As these things go I think the App is really pretty good (and I've tried a few to operate Qobuz separately). The brief flash through Finding Rooms is mildly irritating, and I'd prefer it if it returned to where I was, but that's minor.

That said, it was a pretty unreliable until I hard-wired the NDX, after which it's been solid.

Working fine here. Wired Ethernet, NDS and unitiserve, Vermin superhub and netgear switch, ipad mini 2 and android tablet.

Working fine here, IPad 2 on 9.3.5, IPad 2017 and IPhone 7 running latest IOS, all running5.7.4, controlling Qbs and NDX.

All stable at the moment. Version 5.7.4 seems pretty snappy and responsive on legacy iDevices too.

BT HomeHub5 - Cisco 8 port switch - Mac Mini (UPNP server) - Cisco 4 port switch - UnitiQute. All CAT5e & CAT6 hard wired.

Control devices: iPad Mini2. iPhone 5S. iPod Touch 5th Gen.

Working fine for me. Draytek router - Netgear GS108e switches - Mac mini running Asset with cat 5 ethernet to Unitqute and Muso QB. This is with both and iPad and and iPhone 6 running iOS 10.3.3

I don't believe you folks,  whats to loose,  you can always go back if you're not happy.    You're only missing out on the best app in quite a while.

This has come up time and time again , how do you go back....
