Borrowed a Super Lumina interconnect and tried it between nds and 552 .... omg sounds fantastic... everything is better .... makes my hi line sound thin and harsh. It is a keeper!!! .... I am so impressed ... I was skeptical but i have to say wow....

282/SCDR>300DR Full Loom!

Fraim or Fraimlite?

Nice System!

Allente, I have two stacks of 'HiFi Racks' with legs of varying lengths. LP storage separates the 300DR amp from the 282 on the left. My dealer prefers simpler solutions than Fraim or LP12 for that matter.

As several have mentioned, the effort in getting the cable dressing, box positions, power cords, and power cord ordering in the bank of 5 double unswitched sockets makes you a believer in SL.

Even TV sounds great through a 5m toslink to nDAC. There must be a pretty basic optical driver in our Panasonic TV, but you would not notice. It also unlikely the Sat box has even CD quality digital sound.

So you've got all that in a room 8 by 9 ft? Still at least you won't need a radiator in that room

Posted on: 08 September 2017 by Richieroo

Yeah your right there.... it makes a good heating system! Seriously though it is a fabulous system for even close up computer listening .... and when you turn it wow....the pmc's are well sized for the room and sound incredible. World of tanks has never sounded so good! Ultimately I plan to grab the room next door .... which is somewhat bigger...her indoors permitting.

Silly question but I'm curious. I've heard the benefits of the SL IC for myself in my system. I've read adding the SL IC up the 272 close to a 282. Is adding the SL IC to 272 like going from 202 to 282? In other words is the upgrade with SL IC on 272 in the same ballpark as upgrading from 202 to 282? I haven't heard 202 or 282 so I'm curious. No dealer near by and no desire to audition myself. Only curious.

As the 272 is a source and pre combined it has no need for a SL IC. Some have said however that the addition of the SL DIN/XLR to the 272/power amp makes a worthwhile difference.

I get my SL DIN/XLR tomorrow which completes a full SL loom. Can't wait!
