External mics for a Nikon DSLR

Dear all

I need to get a good external mic (one that sits on the camera hotshoe) terminating either in a mini jack or mini USB. To be used for filming YouTube clips and ambient sounds/ibnterviews etc - doesn't have to be super hi fi quality but obviously much better than the camera's built-in mic.

I have about £200 to spend - absolute max. Any help appreciated!

For £200 you have a lot choice. The Rode seems to get great reviews....
