Tuner input dead on NAC 202??

Posted by: Efraim roots on 09 September 2017

I never experienced this before and I owned and been around a lot of naim preamps. The tuner input which I was using as my main input went totally silent some time ago, the others work fine. It might have happened when I was connecting/disconnecting my walkman for recording from tape in/out. Anyone experienced something similar? Is it some kind of programming maybe??

Sounds like a broken connection somewhere.  Faults can happen, even to the best of them.

Have you checked socket assignment? I would need to double check the manual but it may have Switched to RCA or Din depending on which one you use?

I checked the manual now but I can't find anything about tuner input programming. I tried factory reset and it still doesn't work. I guess it's something that really is broken.

Only the CD and AUX2 DIN inputs can be remapped to the RCA sockets but the OP said he was using Tuner input at rear so that is not the issue, i.e. you cannot remap the Tun input to the RCA sockets.

Thanks CJ, without reference to a manual I couldn't recall which ones on a NAC202 could be remapped.
