Nait2 with ProAc Tab 10s

Has anyone tried this combo?  Can the Nait2 drive them effectively?  I know Chris Bell had some observations, although his Nait2 is need of service.

I recently found good price on a chrome bumper Nait2, which AV Options is currently rebuilding.  In anticipation of receiving it I am thinking about different speaker possibilities.  There are two other speakers I would consider - getting my old Intro 2s back from my Dad, or getting another pair of Rega RX1s (or trying their floor stander siblings).   The RX1s sound great with a Nait2, although I prefer the smaller size and aesthetics of the ProAcs.  And the Intros are, well, the Intros.

A demo of the ProAcs is not possible since the closest dealer is over 100 miles away and I just don't have the time to do that.

If you feel the Nait2 drives the RX1's well then the ProacTab10's should be fine as they are an easier load. Whether or not you like how they sound in your room, is of course, a question which only you can answer

Congrats on the CB Nait2. Chris W will send it back to you in top spec. I have run my Kudos Titans with my Nait2 and it had no problem driving them within reasonable volumes- don't underestimate the Nait!

Thanks Mark.  This may be an ignorant question, but what makes you so sure the ProAcs will be easier to drive than the RX1s?  The sensitivity of the Regas is 89dB and it's an open port design, whereas the sensitivity of the ProAcs is just 86 dB on a sealed box design, although the recommended power of 5-50W is the right zone for the Nait2.

Nominal impedance of 10 ohms- easy load

Rega RX1 has a nominal impédance of 6 ohms- a bit more demanding on your power amp

See my thread regarding the Nait. It's an incredible little amp you will love it.

ProAc speaker always easy to drive but hard to drive to its best. Suggest to get the amp that can go to 2ohm for long period like at least NAP200. Then if you match them well, will enjoy the musics for years.
