PowerLine or...?

Wanting to begin upgrading power cables I wonder if I should go for PowerLine or others.

Looking forward to your experiences. Thanks!

I don't see a stand alone DAC in your profile, I was referring to the HDX rather than its ps though it's worth trying it on either, It was very worth it on a Core feeding a DAC and earlier on a CD5x despite its FC2x. Borrow one and move it around the system, even the PSC, and listen to what it does, if you can hear anything. With a system that complex with all that AV stuff hanging off it it's rather hard to predict.

Thanks for the hint. Just updated my outdated profile. The AV is a different system.

I see from your profile that you have a 282.  While you're experimenting with the Powerline give it a try on the Napsc used by the 282. That's where I put my first Powerline (when I had a 282/SC).  I and my dealer couldn't quite believe the difference it made.

Thanks, definitely makes a difference!

Currently have a power line on the NAP200 and the SC. My DR'd NAP250 returns tomorrow. (-:

Today I got the TQ Black Diamond BNC/BNC. Let's hear how it develops.

Just to add my two cents worth on the power cable topic...

Just did a DIY job on my whole system that was cheap and has made a definite improvement to my surprise.

Paid a visit to MCRU and got a whole bunch of UK type silver plated mains plugs/fuses and IEC connectors and their 'own' brand 6 way power block also with silver plated internals. Power lamp removed and no filters etc. Have found it far nicer than using the gutless crappy power plugs we have in New Zealand. Used shielded Belden 13964 which has an earth trace wire also, so that is earthed out thru the plug earth pin ( mains end only ) Probably won't go down too well with the 'Naim is the only way' bunch on here but works a treat with my old gear. Better than the std cheap Naim lead for sure.

Like I said, just my two cents
