WiFi Connection Problem

Posted by: PCrofts on 29 September 2017

Hi

Tried Naim Support several times now did a software rollback and other troubleshooting but now it seems to be worse (very slow at startup).

I'm running Android Marshmallow on 3 phones and 1 tablet, running OS X on one iMac and 2 MacBook Pros. No other devices available.

The Mu-So flashes purple but I cannot connect to the Setup Hotspot on any device. It is shown as available under Wifi Settings on all devices and as a saved network but never connects thoroughly. When connected to a computer via Ethernet cable the light is solid white but 'No Rooms Found' on the app.  Could there be an issue with my network settings?

Thank you in advance.

I think connecting via a wifi hotspot is never going to be a satisfactory approach. You need to be connecting to a DHCP device like a router, via a switch is ok, preferably with a cable, at least until you sort everything out.

Once you have a white light on the muso network connection, then I suggest restarting ( that is stopping and restarting) the Naim app. That should make it look again and hopefully find your muso.

To give more advice we would need to know a lot more about your network......

best

David

When setting up a mu-so with the android app, you may need to switch off wifi data before connecting to the mu-so as a hotspot.
