how to identify current unitiserve firmware version

Posted by: ct on 01 October 2017

i realised my pre-loved unitiserve doesn't seem to have the most up to date firmware installed but can't find out the version it is currently using

As some of the updates have to completed sequentially i need to know where to start and perform the updates in order, can anyone give me a steer on where to locate this on my unit please?

Look in N Serve. Settings, About, Server Version. Current one, at least on mine, is 1.7b.

probably missing something stupid but, on my phone app all there is under "about" is the app version and its not expandable. i run n serve on a mac book pro but can't find it there either.

On a Mac:

Server > Maintenance > SYSTEM > System status > scroll down to: System Version

You have to use the n-serve app on a phone to control the Unitiserve, not the Naim app, although you can of course pull music off it with upnp via the Naim app. And n-serve is only available for IOS not Android. Or you can use n-serve on a Mac or the Windows Desktop Client on a PC.

The latest firmware version of Unitiserve is 1.7b as Camlan says. It is worth doing because it adds another alternative metadata lookup source (Musicbrainz I think it is).

best
