Uniti price hike

Uniti range hits the market with a 10% price rise as of today. Something to do with the global economy and the state of the pound. Got to protect the profit margin don't you know.
I've just been reading up about Apples new HomePod wireless speaker and unfortunately if I know other half as well as I think I do then I think one will be gracing our home some time soon.

It most probably have a hidden snag, like you should of ordered one month ago, a bit like the 'free student fees' fiasco...

apple is soon releasing a muso QB equivalent that will put even Sonos into bankruptcy. Since Apple has the time to study the muso properly I’ll bet their new product will be quite engaging and rhythmic too. Their phones already play music quite well.
I seriously doubt if naim are even a blip on their radar.
Their new sonos "bankrupting" apple speaker will be £400 tops.
The initial 10% price rise was more than likely, as reported, due to currency fluctuations forcing up material costs.
The recent (unexpected) rise was probably as mentioned, very astutely by an early poster on here, due to servicing the cost of "dead" inventory. The factory has had to recruit and train extra staff and then produce (over 3 shifts?) equipment that couldn't immediately be sold. The dispatch area at Salisbury is quite small, so all the produced units would have to be stored (securely) at some considerable cost off site. That is one hell of a lot of debt to service!
So I guess, with production and sales now in full swing, a price increase has had to be imposed to claw back lost income and extra capital charges.
Richard may well be able to add a knowledgeable nod to the above. Or a shaking of the head.
This is all speculation on my behalf - but believing it keeps me happy, so humour me on this.....
It looks like the Atom went up but the Nova didn't? Was/is the Nova due a hike too?
If I recall correctly Nova in standard form was £4099 and after the hike £4199.

That's good to hear - the OP originally suggested there was to be a 10% price hike across the board, which led me to believe that the Nova would end up @ £4.5K - for whatever reason the Nova got away with a less swingeing increase this time around - possibly because (as I understand it) the price had already gone up cf. the launch price some months ago to the interim price of £4,099.
Despite my whingeing about the price, I'm still tempted - once there's sufficient stock for my dealer to loan me a unit to actually listen to...
iirc there used to be an official price list available on the Naim site - but I can't seem to find one anymore, so it is hard to see what is happening price wise. Have I missed a link somewhere?
Naim don't publish prices on their website as it's a global site and pricing in most territories is down to the distributor for that country.
In the UK a number of dealers publish a price list for Naim kit. If in doubt, just ask them.
