Recap / service outside UK

Hello everyone in this wonderful forum, which is extremely interesting and useful for me! I recently updated my system with new Naim Dac V1 and Nap 200 that is already at 10 years old. I am very happy with the progress I made, but I think soon you may need to have a full Nap200 service. I would like to ask if he can get the service from the authorized service center here in Bulgaria, or will I have to send to UK? Please excuse me for my poor English. Thank you very much!
I suggest you email Naim and ask them where you should get it serviced.
I am in Switzerland, and the distributor offers a factory recognised service centre. However, interestingly, when I had a NAP200 they did not push for it to be serviced. Their view, and I do not claim that this is necessarily the official one, is that only the regulated power amplifiers certainly needed a service. The others tended to manage without.
That was useful to me. Thank you!
If you can't find a service agent locally, you can send it to Class A in Sheffield, England, who are Naim authorised service agents. Their service is very good, but of course, you have the extra cost and risk of sending it by courier.
If you contact your local Naim dealer in Bulgaria, they should take your NAP 200 and have it sent to Naim for servicing (most likely the Bulgarian distributor will also be involved).
That is how I had my Olive 72 / HiCap / 250 serviced last year - delivered it to my local dealer in Warsaw. They sent it off to Krakow (Polish Naim distributor at that time was in Krakow) who then managed the entire process directly with Naim. 6 weeks later my kit was back in Warsaw - fully services and re-packed by Naim.

Some of the European distributors do service Naim gear. I live in the Czech Republic but the German distributor Music Line serviced my NAP300 and upgraded it to DR status. The NAP was back at my dealer in Dresden in less than 2 weeks.

I'd like to highlight NJB's post.
I have a serviced and an unserviced NAP 200 (from 2007 - like yours). There is a difference, but I would put my money elsewhere.
Thank you very much for valuable advice! First, I will e-mail a query to Naim about the opportunities and costs and will require service at this stage. I'm also interested in the option if it can be transformed into DR? Thank you!
I looked into this too, but decided against it. The difference between the 200 and the 250 up is that with the 200, the DR only benefits the power supply to the pre amplifier. As I did not feed the pre from my power amplifier then I would have gained nothing from the upgrade.
You cannot have a 200 upgraded to DR, you would need to trade it in for a 200DR model, but in your case, there would be no benefit to this, as you are using it with a V1, so the DR power supply would remain unused.
Yes, I understand ... Thank you!
