Posted by: omri93 on 24 October 2017

hello there, i need a little bit help for my system

my system is LV Auditorium R2, Lavardin IS Ref, Acrolink 7n-s1010 and Acoustic Revive Line 1.0R.

first, Im looking for a good source i heard Naim CD5XS  and i really liked him but i dont know how he will be fit to my system,

what do you think about the combination?

second, i saw in Lavardin website that the cables must be in low capacitance, but my cables dont have a low capacitance unfortunately, Is this critical?

Thanks Omri

Someone can help?

I’d like to, but have no idea what any of those things you mention are. I suspect that others are in the same position.

Omri,

The best thing to do would be to audition the CD5XS in your system to see if you like it.

Other than that it might be worth asking on another forum where you've got more people with experience outside of the Naim ecosystem to provide helpful advice on where to go.

I know a guy who uses a CD5x (or XS) into a Lavardin IS reference, with small Sonus Fabers. The result is apparently very good – no aberrations, good imaging, beautiful sound. His room is large and reflecting. He uses NAC A5 speaker wires. If the thing can help you, his system goes back to when the main rumour within the 'true audiophiles' community was that CD players were the only Naim products worth having. So, when even a guy with two pieces of cork stuck inside his nostrils says that he smells something good, he might be trusted...
