Rogers db101's on Naim?

A trip down memory lane reminded me of the rather unusual-looking Rogers db101's.  A clothes shop I worked in while in college had over 20 of them driven by a rack of Crest amplification...  Was just wondering if any forum users heard or used them on Naim equipment?  I remember them sounding great on electronic and dance in particular.

I don’t remember them, so I’ve just googled them. Nominal impedance 4 ohms, sensitivity 92db for a watt at 1m. I suspect that anyone driving them with a Naim rig would have gone deaf if the volume knob went above 9 o’clock.  Very funky looking speakers.

Ive got a pair of these in a metallic Purple bought in Richer sounds about 15 years  ago for about £125,( they were a ridiculous price when released about £500 and were quickly discontinued thats how Richer sounds sold them off so cheap ) Ive never used them with my Naim gear as they only except bare wire into their binding posts, they go very loud for a small design and work well with a cheap Denon CD player and amp.

Glad to hear yours are still singing Karl!  I’ve a real soft spot for them because they kicked off my interest in HiFi.  Used to enjoy an eight hour shift listening to them!  Our shop had much better sound than the HMV across the road, and they were well able to take occasional abuse from DJs at launch nights.  Might pick up a pair on eBay for the kitchen in my new house.

EL_SOLDADO, they come up on eBay now and again but usually go for about what I paid for mine, good luck.
