Tempting fate but I will dare and say it.

At this moment using and S8+, Tab S2 and iPad with the Naim app, aside from minor lag no issues ...

In general, Android does not tend to make a big distinction between 'phone' and 'tablet' apps. There tends to be only one version of an app in the Google Play store (where there might be distinct iPhone and iPad apps in the App Store). Given the large variety of devices and screen-sizes the more recent versions of Android are pretty good at scaling apps to suit the size of screen being used.

For most purposes a 'large' phone such as the Note 8 will work very similar to a 'small' tablet,

I've only ever used the Android version of the Naim app and generally happy.

I use the S8+ fulltime as it' my phone so to hand to just flip in and out of the app.

Would be superb (Pretty please Phil) if Naim could have the Naim player controls show up in the lockscreen, like Spotify and Tidal.

Most the time I just want to skip, pause or adjust volume and it gets tedious unlocking well iris, then into the app, wait for it and then ...

Shame Spotify works but it' 320k : (
