Just bought a Nait 3 and CD 3.5 with no cables!

Hi everyone, I haven't been on here for years.  Just for background, many years ago I bought a Nait 3 that had seen better days and had it for a few months with my Kef Reference 104/2s, and it was bloody brilliant.  Then I went down the valve route for a few years, but I never forgot that sound.  So when I saw a Nait3/CD3.5 combo on ebay I just bought it on a whim.  It then occurred to me that I will need some cables to get it to work.  My old Nait had no phono cards so I used a RCA lead, but this one has got the cards, and now I've got a Naim CD too so I'll need a DIN to DIN lead I think?  Is it a 5 pin to 5 pin?  Should have kept the Naca speaker cable I had bought before but I threw it in with the Nait.  Wish I wasn't so bloody generous!!

Is there a sales forum on here, I couldn't find one?  Failing that where's the best place for me to get a good value one for starters to see if I still dig that sound? (And it works with my speakers.)  Then there's a flatcap to think about. God this Naim business is a bottomless pit isn't it??

Lawrence - the 'lavender' 5 Pin DIN - 5 Pin DIN interconnect new is just over £100 new. Worth looking for a used one. Otherwise, Flashback cables will make you up one to your spec for a lot less. For the Nait 3, Naim NAC-A5 is best. Look again for used.

Lawrence, for cable ID look in the FAQ.  You will want the lavender/grey Interconnect pictured at the top of this post here:

How to ID Naim interconnects

There's no sales forum on here - selling is strictly forbidden.  Please take a read through the forum rules before going further, thanks.

Thanks Richard, sorry I wasn't aware, my fault for not refreshing myself of the rules from 2013 when I last came on!  I will dig around for good used ones as suggested by James.

I fell foul too Lawrence, so we all need a refresh of the rules (and thus the edit of Richard) at times !

Hope you get the cables sorted and get the kit going ok

Cracking combination

Thanks, can I check, the lavender is the one shipped with the cd3.5? Wish I'd done a bit of research as I would have realised I should have waited for one to come up complete with the bundled cable. I don't mind splashing out a few quid more for an upgraded cable though.

Yep - that's the one

Yes, it's the one that would have shipped out with the CD3.5.  You'll need to spend a lot more to better it (think Hi-line of Superlumina).
