It works!!

Just collected 272/250 connected everything up and what do you know - everything working perfectly - and it sounds tremendous.

I wanted to thank everyone for all the help and advice. I didn't think I would take the plunge into the streaming pool but so far so good. Also great support from my dealer and my better half who knows her way round a computer.

Supposed to getting ready for a gig tonight but struggling to get my backside off the chair.

Still got my trusty neat motive 2s which have been with me from the start. Can be a bit splashy at times but I have stuck with them throughout numerous electronics upgrades. I might upgrade them next year. But just going to enjoy things for now. Or maybe psu first???!!

Nice! I've got a pair of Neat Motive SX2's and really love them, they also went through a number of upgrades

I would probably consider an XPSDR as the next move, but the important thing is just to enjoy whet you’ve got for a while.

Enjoy all that fabulous music Stuart. 272/250 combo seems to be a tear in the fabric of Einstein’s space-time continuum that somehow suspends the normal rules of cost vs performance. Great purchase!

Music is sounding fantastic and I'm am really enjoying the streaming format. One thing that has surprised me is that poor quality recordings are actually much more tolerable with this system. Previously I would not have listened to certain cds as they were too unpleasant to endure. It was a if my previous system was maybe trying too hard and pushed them to sound harsh. Now I can listen and tell they are not the best but the sound is more refined. Maybe the frequencies are better balanced, not really sure but everything sounds easier to listen to. Very happy.

Indeed, I am 'rediscovering my music' without the need of the new uniti series (as good as that is of course)

I now have to implement some discipline between listening and guitar practice, there is a slight imbalance developing! There simply aren't enough hours in the day.
