Frank Abela

just a short note to say I have just read on Facebook that frank is deeply unwell with a brain tumour. His wife Judith posted the news overnight and it has come as a complete shock to many, myself included.

A serious Naim user and, I believe, dealer for the company in Malta?

im sure you will join me in sending him our best wishes and thoughts.

Frank is a wonderful gentleman. We have shared many conversations both here and in person, he is a wealth of knowledge and experience and one of the nicest guys you could wish to meet. Its so sad to see he is unwell and we both have Frank and his family firmly in our thoughts.

I was fortunate to meet Frank a few times at the Reading store. Always the gentleman, always willing to share his extensive experience, but always self-effacing -- he would introduce himself as "the Saturday boy". Frank, my thoughts are with you.

Yes, that’s how Frank introduced himself to me. He had a ‘proper job’ during the week and worked at Audio T on Saturdays.

It was always a great pleasure to read Frank's balanced and well considered views - unbiased, to the point and always informative.

Best wishes in these difficult circumstances

For all those that read these words, please take a minute of prayer, to put Frank back on the Upgrade path of recovery.

Get well soon!

This is terribly sad news and seems so quick on the back of the earlier reports.

I can but offer sincerest condolences to Frank's wife, family and close friends.  Such a shame that Frank didn't manage to see his dream come true.  His passing is a major loss to the Naim forum to which he was a massive contributor over the years.

Frank, You are already much missed. Part of your legacy that will remain are your knowledgeable, informative and helpful posts that you have made here on this forum over many years. Hopefully they will continue to help and inform Naim owners in years to come. Thank you. Farewell.

Rest in peace Frank.

I will always remember our email exchanges and your generosity with your time, explaining the Naim products to me.

your knowledge of hi-fi was beyond reproach but more importantly was your patience and kindness.

I never knew Frank, before my time on the forum. But what a wonderful legacy to have touched so many people’s lives in such a positive manner. His family should be very proud, in this very sad time, I hope it gives them some strength.

RIP Frank
