DSF files truncated on NDS (after DRPO)

Tried replying to prev thread by DRPO but it's now closed to new replies.

Am experiencing exactly the same issue with DSF files of Mahler symphonies when more than 25 mins in length.  NDS will play the first few minutes in excess of that and then stops - eg 8mins of a 33min track, 3mins of a 28 min track (similar to as DRPO described).  Files are on a Synology NAS.  Doesn't matter what the UPnP server is eg minimserver or asset on the NAS or Asset running from an imac. Files play fine on Roon on iMac.  But ... files also play fine on Audirvana on the iMac and also when used as a UPnP server from this to the NDS.

Did anything come from customer support?  I'm copying this into them as well.

As you have a Synology,  have you tried installing the Synology 'Media Server' UPnP software?   I only use this UPnP & have a lot of DSD (.dsf) material & have never experienced the problem.

I'm also wondering if with more than one UPnP running on the NAS that it's a crossover link to a common OS file that carries the problem,  it might be worth trying with only one installed & the other uninstalled.

Thanks Mike. Have done. Exactly the same. (was meant to be Synology Media Server, not asset on the NAS drive, asset on the imac only).  I don't think it's a problem with the NAS as the files play fine via Roon and Audirvana.

OK,  I guess it’s wait & see if others or Naim have an answer. One we know the fix it will be one to keep in the trouble shooting tips file,  ya never know.

I've flagged it for Phil to look at - hopefully he may have some ideas.

Can you pop me the file up somewhere (dropbox / onedrive / wetransfer etc.) and email me a link (to phil.harris@naimaudio.com) so that I can download it to test here?
