DAC for NAP300 upgrade

I have the chance to upgrade by trade in my 250DR + my DAC to a new 300DR. With this, I would step-up the amp footchain but step down from a super DAC to a 2000-2400 €£$ DAC level. So my question to the 300DR owners out there-is it that bang for the money? Or is it still source first? Other source is a LP12, speakers are Sopra2. I don‘t listen loud music levels (if this may be important...)

In my system changing the 250dr to a 300dr earlier in the year was probably the best value for money upgrade I’ve made the 250dr is a cracking amp but the 300dr is something rather special listen to decide.

I've had a demo of 250.2/250DR/300DR driving Sopra 2s and was so impressed with what the 300DR did I bought one. The Sopra 2s sounded very nice being driven by the 250DR but swopping in the 300DR made a huge difference. The Sopra 2s suddenly seemed much bigger (and I know they are big already!)

With a Nagra pre it’s probably quite hard for most here to suggest much beyond of start auditioning, not from any experience anyway.
