Jriver cue settings

Posted by: meni48 on 05 December 2017

I found out that JRIVER can split CUE without having to divide it through DBPOWER, which I used to do all the time, but there is a problem when I come to play the file that it distributed on NDS it is playing only MP3 even though the file is LOSSLESS, I was looking to change the JRIVER settings to LOSSLESS and if possible to WAVE, But I have not found, maybe you guys in this forum knows the answer I`m looking for ..thank you!

It sounds like J River is transcoding. You can change J Rivers DLNA streaming settings so that it doesn't.

Tools > Options > Media Network >  --- Add or configure DLNA servers

Then under the Audio section

Mode:  Specified outuput format

Format: PCM 24bit

(or whatever output format makes sense for your DAC, but not MP3!)

Then quit and restart J River for the new streaming settings to take effect.
