Naim for Princess Yachts

Posted by: Slim68 on 07 December 2017

I have just seen the Connections update about Naim and Princess Yachts. Naim really are raising their profile.

Good luck I say.

By the way, do I get a free Yacht with a Mu-So purchase now :-)

Yes I thought it was a competition to win a yacht at first , after the Linn offer of buy one get one free.......

Perhaps our moderator Richard has got the gig for Naim ambassador to Princess yachts, to go along with this a Bentley one.

I’ve been holding out for this for years.

The launch of the partnership is at the Dusseldorf show at the end of January and Naim will be there demonstrating what they do best.

Oh, and Gazza, I will be there for some of the show too...

Richard, I liked my heading much better: "Naim, the Princess Bride," in which I intoned:

Oh joy, oh rapture: instead of working on developing the mythical unicorn-like 372 or updating the NDS or doing other valuable research we learn that Naim will be designing audio systems for yachts, of all things.  Princess Yachts.  Egad and cor' blimey.

Here's a thought, Naim: put the Muso and Qb into teak enclosures (or better yet just paint them to look like teak), then mark them up 50% and call it problem solved!

Richard, hope you float their boat, have fun, keep wandering around the boat and turning the volume up, just a bit......

Due to a contractual clause, and conflict of interest, Naim have been forced to change  partnership and rethink their strategy.

Understood ,totally the wrong colour as well...

I see they’ve fixed the problem with keeping the turntable nice and level...

But might it be possible with something incredibly stable like a Revox linear tracker, or a Clearaudio with a pendulum, for use when in dock? Other than that, I CAN imagine that Naim digital sources and amps on a big yacht would be a very presitigious addition.

This one looks good, and it’s only just down the road. I wonder if the Naim can be retrofitted?

All the elegance of a training shoe.

A 'built-up' training shoe...

Not too late to jump ship and get on-board with Sunseeker? More Kudos

On the Princess yachts Facebook page they’ve put up a pic of an Atom. Is that all they’ve done, plug an Atom in??

At least because it’s something to do with boats you can charge twice as much for it.

Or a Clorox bottle... at least Bentleys are cool looking.

This is a Huckins 46; if Naim has to do yachts, at least they could stick to classy, dare I even say  gorgeous, yachts.  The P in POS must stand for Princess.

Presumably Naim think that Princess' customers will think the same of the 500 series.

And don’t not let’s forget the Muso and Qb range..

I do hope Naim are in the running for if Boris gets his way and a new Royal Yacht is built... a Queen Yacht is such a big step up from a Princess Yacht!

The boats in blue look even nicer.
