Bunds collar loose
Posted by: alanbass1 on 17 December 2017
I was repositioning my system and noticed that the plastic cap on the 272 side of my bunny moves/twists and the other end appears locked into position by the collar. Assuming that this is not correct what is the right tool for tightening the collar? Any tips around tension would also be gratefully received
I assume you mean your Burndy not your Bunny.
Contact your dealer. Do not pass go, etc..
Yep
dreaded iPhone
Are you sure this isn't the sprung sockets moving?
This might give the effect of the cable being loose..
Is it flopsy?

Well, let’s hop that the OP gets it fixed soon.

Indeed. It really bugs me when these things happen.

Can you burrow one from your dealer?

If they’re a good mate then you might be able to lever it?

If the bunny dropped out, it could be a hare raising experience.

Followed by a loud thump...err, it’s getting silly now. It was sensible before, but now it’s getting silly.

I seem to have gone down a rabbit hole on this one.
Quick question for those with burndy sxps' - when locked into place on the 272 I can 'twist' the plastic outer casing of the burndy plug. I assume the collar is there to prevent the outer casing from twisting when the burndy is locked onto the 272. Is that correct?
I’ve just tried to twist the fat black plastic bit, but it’s rock solid and doesn’t move at all. So, if yours twists, there is something wrong. Best get down to the vet for treatment.
Nothing like twisting a fat one and enjoying the hi-fi ....
I called my dealer and they stated the collars should not be tightened hard and that should expect a little movement "around 6 degrees" - which maybe the amount my burndy is moving. He checked out a couple of burndy's in the shop and said they had this movement so I guess all is OK. Sounds fine which is the main thing
