Supercap2, is there any use for it in a 552 setup?

My current setup is Nac252, Nap300DR, Supercap2, NDac, XPSDR, Dali Epicon 6, Auralic Aries Femto.

My Supercap is about 11 years old, so next logical step would be to do a recap and the DR upgrade.

But in the medium time frame i would like to go from 252 to 552DR ( preloved)

So is there any use for the Supercap in that setup? Dont want to go active.

If not, i think i can skip the recap/DR upgrade.

Am i correct?

If you don't wish to go active then there are two other possible uses for your Supercap; The first is to power a Headline or Headline 2. The second is to power a phono stage such as a Stageline, Prefix or Superline.

As above....a dedicated SC is FAR better a supply than the 552 powered input...and when I ran a 552 I used a Supercap just for a Prefix phone stage- the powered input was way too sedate by comparison.
