Spiral (Engrenages) (BBC4), Dark (Netflix)

The old thread on this is closed now, but the new series (6) of this excellent, gritty French/BBC co-production cop series is now on. Two episodes in (both shown last Saturday 30th), both on iplayer, then every Saturday like old times.

I haven't watched either yet, but fingers crossed it hasn't lost its, er, magic.

For those you you interested in this (but with a slight element of the weird 'Stranger Things'-ilk), the German production "Dark" on Netflix is also excellent, and even though I speak no German, the dialogue/subtitling is easy to follow.

Engrenages is as good as ever thus far. Dark did lose me a bit though!

I'm only 4 episodes into Dark, and it is certainly getting weirder, hence my reservation. It is excellently filmed and well acted though I think

I quite enjoyed Stranger Things though, but such supernaturalia is not normally my thing at all, so I hope Dark doesn't get too much weirder.

PS Try ‘Braquo’ if you haven’t already.

Engrenages is just the best. Best thing on telly right now. First two episodes did not disappoint. Great to have the gang - Laure, Gilou, Tin Tin, Josefine, Roban - back on our screens again.

agree completely, engrenages is the best.  The first season of Braquo .  Or Breaking bad, different kind, but marvelous !      The night of with John Turturo, excellent too.
