Naim Fraim
Posted by: Gazza on 07 January 2018
Before Xmas I purchased a twin base Naim Fraim for my system which had sat on an AV stand with my TV. Had to wait for the Xmas tree to go back to the box in the garage. Spent the morning redoing speaker cable run, on other side of the room, Fraim in position etc. Nova and NAP 300 took a few hours to come back on song, but have to say a much tighter, dynamic portrayal of my music. I bought this second hand from my dealer, a very good upgrade IMO.
Congrats. Now all we need is a pic.
That's good to know. Thanks !
So have you bought the full fraim or fraim lite?
Full Fraim... did try posting pics from Imgur today, just ended up with a small blank square, tried a few times. Looked up the FAQ, did the share, copy on Imgur, then paste on the little mountain, source box...help appreciated.

Definately deserves, if not requires, a pic Gazza, just as SS said earlier.

Only done it once and tbh fogot what I did, so over to the experts on Imgur, I'm afraid...
Congratulations, Excellent choice, will probably be doing the same sometime soon.
I used to use photobucket which was very easy, Imgur I have found to be more tricky, possibly because I mainly use my iPhone in between working too many hours.
I have to load pictures to lmgur, then use safari, then copy
Gazza, in Imgur, with required photo selected, touch 'Copy' on Direct Link line or (the same thing) right click on picture & 'Copy Image Address', Paste one or the other into the Image source box (Little Mountain).
Fraim made a huge difference to our system. We didn't think it would but it did.
There's no end to it.

Try holding your finger on the image you want to post for more than a few seconds. This seems to change the image type. Then go through the same process you describe.
Thanks guys, will try again later
This time from iMac , seems easier, and nice guidance from the guys, thanks. I sold my old Naim system about 10 years ago, for various reasons, it was a NAC82/Hicap, active SBL,s with Nap250 amps, and source was a CDS. A decision I now regret. Having retired I thought it would be nice to have some music in the house, ended up with a MUso. Looking at the Naim site I stumbled on the new Units range and bought a Core in Jan 2017, ripped my CD,s and played through the Muso, I then got the Naim bug again. I had a demo of the Nova and tried with the Nap250dr, just to see the upgrade potential. About 3 weeks after I got my Nova (Sept2017), my dealer had a second hand Nap250dr for just over 2k, thought I was never likely to get it much cheaper, so bought it. It tightened the bass, and leading edge of the music, worthwhile IMO. Then after a visit by Linn to the dealer I was talking and the NAP300dr they had for demo was being sold, so traded the NAP250dr (only had it for 6 weeks) for the NAP300dr. Borrowed a Naim DC1 to try between Core and Nova, decided I should invest in a Fraim instead. As luck would have it, dealer had second hand one, about half price................I am really impressed with the Nova as a streamer DAC and amp, the next generation streamers will be a big step IMO.
Should have mentioned the speakers are PMC 25.26, the NAP300dr was a very big step up in performance, tighter, deeper, faster, speakers seemed to grow in size.
Watch your footing on that slope.
