Moving from Nova to classic series

Posted by: Popeye on 11 January 2018

Hi all

Having experienced many issues since owning a new Nova my dealership is giving me a refund as I have had 2 faulty Novas in the past 3 weeks. I have therefore lost faith in the unit and appreciate there will be 1000's of satisfied customers with no issues. Just my luck.

Anyway, my options now seem to be looking at pre-owned as I simply can't afford classic Naim new. I am going to have to put my hand in my pocket further but two setups which look like options are NDX,202,200 (non dr) or 272/250 Dr.

Can anyone shed any advise?

Many Thanks

Popeye

Thanks, well all I can say is WOW. Only just powered it up and listened to a few tracks so not Evan up to temperature and it sounds in a completely different league to the Nova!

Will report more in due course!

It's a shame that you will miss out on the benefits of the new streaming platform, but hopefully you are aware of the differences. That aside, I'm sure you will enjoy the sound quality of your new (old) system!

That’s lovely to hear. Remember that it will sound even better over the coming weeks. You certainly sorted it all out really quickly, and isn’t it good to help such a helpful dealer.

Yes, this wouldn't have been possible without the dealer support! I didn't obviously compare this setup to a 272/250 or NDX/202/250 as this purchase was only made possible as my dealer had a NDX/supernait2 in stock, ex demo and knocked off a substantial amount of money to make this at all possible changing from the Nova!

Any other combination wouldn't of been financially possible!
