CDX2 not completely powering up

My CDX2 with XPS2 works fine. However, I now want to use my NDX with the XPS2 and use the CDX2 standalone. I used the NDX2 Burndy plug in the CDX2 and a mains lead. The CDX2 naim light comes on, but there is no power to the transport mechanism. Any ideas why. Is it because the Burndy plug is actually different on the NDX compared to the CDX2 ?. I don’t have the original CDX2 plug, as I bought the unit secondhand.

Check the CDX2 still powers up properly with the XPS2. If so, you've not broken anything.

If you still plan to use the CDX2 without the XPS then get the right CDX link plug (should be around £80)

Thanks, yes everything still works with the CDX2 and the XPS2 together. I could never have imagined the link plugs would be different . Regards, Keith

That's good news Keith. There are a few different Burndy link plug flavours. Your local dealer should be able to get the correct CDX one for you.
