chord odyssey cable length

for nac a5, minimum recommended length for naim amps is 3.5 meters. optimal length is 5 meters.

what would be the recommended lengths for chord odyssey for naim amps - given its own specs for inductance, resistance etc.

appreciate the insights.

OK, one measurement for it is 0.6 μH/m, so the equivalent lengths are...

5.8m recommended minimum.
8m preferred.

I'm a long time Odyssey user:  Chord don't publish the L & C specs & I think Huge has borrowed my 0.6uH/m measurement which I have to say is subject to all the proviso's of home measurement.     But I must ask what amp do you have,  some Naim amps are not fussy about cables,   my Supernait for example is oblivious to anything, including those dastardly Kimber's.   Getting obsessive over a metre or two might not be worth the trouble.    I have (& need) 5 metres.

Yes Mike, normally I'd credit you but I was half asleep.

Mikes observations about some Naim amps (integrated and Uniti) being much less sensitive is also valid.

The length of cable required for full stability is also influenced by the speakers in use.  The 3.5m NAC A5 will guarantee stability even into capacitative loads such as electrostatic speakers and tweeters.

The UQ is like the SN2 - less critical of load than the classic series.  With speakers that are a relatively benign load the cable length won't be too critical (but 3.5+ meters is still highly recommended).

Use Nait 5i-2 amp with Quad 21L 2, length 3.5mtrs Odyssey 2 no problem.

In that case I would not be so concerned about the 'correct' length,  yes longer is better & maybe best to not go less than 3.5m which will give you 2.1uH per side.
