Deleting music files from UnitiCore

Posted by: john V on 23 January 2018

I have inadvertently loaded some unwanted music files from an external USB hard drive into my new UnitiCore. I can clearly see how to delete CDs, but when I select these USB downloads, I see no option to delete. Can this be done ?  If so, how ?    BTW,  I have emailed Naim customer service about this several times.  I get a prompt email back promising a response within 24 hours -- so far, nothing.  Thanks, in advance, for considering this question.

Just find the downloads folder via your computer, locate the albums you don’t want, and delete them.

Thanks -- I'm using a MacBook.  Do I connect the computer to the UnitiCore by USB, then identify it in Finder ? Will that allow me to view a list of music files ?  I really don't want to make a mistake that would delete files that I want to keep.  Sorry, but when it comes to computer problems, I need step-by-step instructions and some hand-holding.

John, much the same as you when it comes to this sort of thing I had to delete a couple of downloaded CDs last week by using finder my iMac finds my Core on the network, open the folder then delete as required if I can do it them anybody can.

As PCD says, the Core and your MacBook should be on the same network, so it should be visible as a shared device in the OSX Finder, or on the Desktop. You can't use a direct USB connection.
