Hicap

i have a naspc on my nap 180 can I also add a hicap to my nac 102?

Yes, you can use a Hicap on the 102. The NAPSC will be powering the 102 as well, not the 180, but you can still have both.

Gazzaman, the NAPSC powers the logic and controls of the NAC102.  These are usually fairly noisy, so a dedicated supply removes this noise from polluting the pre-amp audio supply. The Hicap provides a cleaner and stiffer pre-amp audio supply over the one integrated within the NAP180, so well worthwhile.

p.s. the NAPSC is usually best when physically moved as far from the pre-amp as possible.

I tested the NAPSC 2 for noise with the transistor radio method and it is completely silent at 5+ inches from it. In fact it is more silent than the 250 and the HICAP. The cable from the NAPSC to the NAC should be kept well away from any power cable.
