Nap100 dacv1 speakers

Hello everyone, first post. I own the above setup with some tannoy revolution xt6f. I would really like a pair of atc scm19s, just wondering if the amp is enough. Thanks
I'm pretty sure you will need something more powerful, at least a 200, better still a 250, which is what I've heard driving the 19s. I did once hear a NAP100 driving Russel K 100s, and that sounded good to me.
The NAP100 falls some way short of the minimum recommended power amp requirements. This combined with ATC being renowned for their revealing qualities, including any shortcomings of either source material or system, would lead me to suggest this is not an ideal combination. There are plenty of great performing speakers that would be a better match for your current gear.
Hi,
If I recall correctly ATC SMC19s are fairly easy to drive, but do require an amplifier with a bit of grunt, so a 200 or 250 as per ChrissU would be a better match IMO, if a future amp update is on the cards?
Somewhere in the past I had a similar pairing (scm11,though) as a stop gap.
Totally useless, you should aim at least at SN2 or better Nap 200 to give it a sense
I have no experience with ATC, but would also recommend Russell K. I have used the Red 50 with the V1/100 combo, and it sounded fabulous.
I have the smaller ATC SCM11 driven by a NAP200 and DAC-V1. The NAP 200 has plenty of grunt to drive the ATC to very high levels, without ever sounding strained. But I think the NAP100 may struggle a little with the SCM19.
Ian.
Have you considered PMC 20.21’s? Just a thought and a few good value discontinued finish examples around..... And easily driven by my UQ2, so should be OK with the NAP100.

Hey guys sorry for the late reply. The 200 is out of my price range. I had a feeling it would fall short. Also im moving from floorstanding speakers hopefully soon as i have never owned standmounts and the atcs looked tempting. What about dali rubicon 2. Has anyone any experience with these. I suppose im looking to inprove bass quality but not lose to much quantity
If you can, audition some Proac stand mounts, a great match with the amp, easier to drive than the ATC speakers, and sound fabulous.
Hi mate. Any models you might recommend.
The Tablette 10 and 10 signature are excellent, as is the Studio SM100.
Hey guys. After a rethink im gonna go for a speaker change and leave the amp upgrade till the funds are there. Im looking for some info on procac response db1 and sm100 but seems scarce online. Anybody got any views on these. Thanks.

Theres a guy over on Pinky fishy which posted some fine pictures of his new SM100 powered by either 172/155 or a Superuniti I recall
He's over the moon with performance
Your V1/100 might finance most of a SU ?
Would imagine a Nap 100 will do it if smaller room or not expecting disco levels, the 100 power is not far off a 155x and perhaps even a better sound, indeed my 100 bettered my 150x overall.
