Hi,
I just started to get set up with my Naim Mu-So and am trying out Spotify Connect. Oddly enough it works fine to stream music via Spotify Connect, but I'm not able to stream podcasts. Whenever I'm streaming music, my Naim Mu-So shows up among available devices, but when I start playing a podcast via Spotify, I'm told I can't stream to the Mu-So as long as I'm playing that content. Does anybody have an explanation why this might be - is it because of the length of the streamed files, or some difference in encoding? I also have two Audio Pro Addon speakers on the same network, and they work fine to stream both music and podcasts, so there's something specific about the Mu-So that blocks podcasts... any suggestions?
Thanks!

No worries - I found that community page myself and was mightily confused, since I can obviously stream podcasts from Spotify Connect , just not to my Mu-So. I guess that's why it got so few 'kudos' - it's not a problem for everyone. Either it's my Mu-So that's limited, or it's my Audio Pro that's exceptional - will try it with Sonos and Bose over time, but for now I appreciate all help and attempts at help!

Thanks - that would help me find out if there's some software / firmware update my Mu-So is lacking. I've now confirmed that it works fine to stream podcasts to Audio Pro devices and to Bose Soundtouch devices, so the question remains why I can't get it to work with my Mu-So. I've sent a question to the Naim support team and they've just told me that they have no problem streaming music via Spotify Connect... which isn't what I asked. If you try streaming a podcast, let me know how it works out!

Further to previous post, I also tried playing Spotify podcasts on my (Naim) Uniti Atom via Spotify Connect and they work fine. It's clear from the device list in the Spotify app that my two Musos are greyed out (with the message "can't play this right now") whereas the Uniti Atom appears and plays as I would expect.
So this looks like a Muso-specific issue. Definitely worth emailing/calling Naim to report the issue or at least get an explanation.

Thanks - I also got confirmation that it's not a Spotify issue, and your info hammers that home. Interestingly, Naim seemed completely unaware of the issue; I originally thought this was a conscious choice on their part, for whatever reason, but it doesn't appear that way. They said they would look into it and get back to me.
