552 Volume Pot

After prolonged use with the remote I’ve noticed that my 552 volume pot stops at 8 o’clock for zero volume instead of the usual 6/7 o’clock. Any idea how this can be rectified? It’s not a big deal but it would be nice to correct it.

Your dealer or Naim service should be able to sort it. It means opening up (not so easy on a 552 because you cannot tip the unit - it must be level at all times) and inspecting as to what it has happened. It could be that the LED wires are binding on the shaft, in which case they need to be very carefully re-dressed. Or, if it's just that the knob portion on the shaft has moved then it's a case of loosening the locking nut, re-positioning, and then re-tightening the locking nut. If your NAC552 is under warranty then don't attempt to do anything yourself.
