In reply to Mr Underhill I wanted to post a  screenshot, taken just now off my Firefox browser and showing the new Internet Radio button as the lowest one of the 4 in the left hand column on the HDX Home Menu -  but for the life of me cannot see how to upload and include it .. oh well ...

Glad you're sorted. What do you think

All done and playing for a couple of hours now. Thanks Naim.

@Mr Underhill:  I had the same problem with the iRadio button not appearing, but in Chrome, it was resolve when I reloaded the page. I assume that the old version of the Flash interface was still loaded in the browser. I'm sure you reloaded the page, but perhaps something is cached somewhere maybe try flushing Firefox's caches.

How do you stop playing radio and either move to library or move to another station, mine is stuck on bbc radio 2, have not got any sound from it as it is still buffering. It seems to want to keep trying to stream. Anyone else experiencing any difficulties?

Posted on: 26 September 2011 by nocker

Press the square button on the radio screen , will stop it playing!  Press home button

Thanks, one other question, why do some stations seem difficult to stream?

Any one else having difficulty streaming BBC radio 2 ?

As it's trying to stream it my userve won't allow any other functions.

Great pic, what a truly 'fearsome critter', a fresh horned Jackalope, complete with velvet. A rare sight indeed.

I'm pretty impressed.

I enjoy doing catch up on some of the Radio 4 podcasts - and now I can get to them via the NS01!

Listened to Radio 4 / Radio 3 / Radio 1 / Classic FM / Johnny Cash Radio and others.

The quality varies, but can be OK, and I'll keep my fingers crossed for the Radio 3 & 4 HiDef feeds.

I think I'll take the analogue outs from the NS01 up through my AV2, so I can listen to the podcasts in Mono.

Doh, yes you're right, it allows me to see the 'Internet Radio' button. BUT, it doesn't help with the added blue framework lines, and the aggregation of the button text ....so I'll keep using Chrome for now.

Thx,

M

Internet radio works great.

Whith the new automatic back-up funktion to NAS, why no solution/button to use both HDs in older HDX as storage? Please Naim, I´m still missing this feature.

Less rare here in the States . . . but that IS a particularly fine specimen isn't it???

Yes indeed, thank you Naim. A fantastic extra on some great kit - HiFi AND VFM, good grief.

The point of the two drive units has always been that they backed themselves up and they will continue to do so...

Cheers

Very basic question: I downloaded "1.6b_Naim_Server.iso" and copied it to a  CD... now how do I apply the update to my UnitiServe, just insert the CD?

Posted on: 26 September 2011 by sktn77a

Yes.  See the instructions that you downloaded with the software update file.

Posted on: 26 September 2011 by Bill_nyc

Thanks, reading the instructions always helps.  I wonder why I never do it(?).  Anyway, it works and I like the implementation very much.  Thanks Naim.

The downloaded instructions look to be just for the HDX...not the Uniti-Serve...however, I guess its not that much different....will update later today....

Looking forward to it...I can then move the U-Qute to standalone duties...

Hi,

the point for me is, that 500GB are to small - especially as you can save WAV only and not lossless. Until now I havent´t heard that an update to bigger HD size is provided. Saving all the music and backup on NAS is no solution for me.

This means I have to store Musik on the HDX including back up and parts of the Music on a NAS including back up of only this music on NAS (= 4 HDs) . I definitifly don´t like this structure.

Posted on: 27 September 2011 by Klout10

Hi Pepe68,

Using both drives provides double the space, but in the end you will also run out of space with this solution. Therefore the NAS way is the one to go...

Regards,

Michel
