Unitiserve/NAS back up to cloud

Does anybody do this and if so who with and at what cost for 2tb.

I currently back up my Unitiserve to a QNAP NAS but am mindful that a catastrophic event such as, for example, a lightning strike would probably take out both.

I did have a Unitiserve destroyed by lightning - through the phone line, so I now use fibre optic LAN cables to cut off that particular route for a potential repeat lightning strike. With our 4 meg download speed, and less that 1 meg up, there's no way I would consider cloud backup a a practical option. I just take an additional backup to an offsite USB drive in addition to the automated NAS backup.

I backup my Unitiserve to a Qnap NAS that is then backed up to the cloud via the Qnap IDrive app all done automatically at night. 2tb of storage is currently on offer for £50/year from IDrive. It will take a while to backup a large collection to the cloud and download them if required but it will also take a long time and more effort to re rip all your cds.

As well as a Qnap backup I also use a portable 2tb usb drive once every few weeks or whenever I add new music, that's my primary disaster back up. I then disconnect it and leave it somewhere safe. Cloud backups can be lost (forgot the password, service goes down, provider goes into liquidation etc etc). I would never trust the cloud or a single double bay Nas, singley or together as my primary disaster backup locations.
