Uniti Nova

Yeah, I'm waiting for this. Originally ordered mine with it. Changed my mind when told no idea when it would be available. I've now had my Nova about 6 months and while internet radio is mostly fine some 'local' stations I listen to have a terrible bit rate, meaning I no longer listen !

I suspect it needs a firmware update to accomodate the module and with no numeric pad on the remote I wonder how easy it will be to tune in anything other than "favourites" or  using a scan mode.

I don't know what Naim will actually do but there should be no problem tuning the module and setting presets using the app. That's how it works on my Old Unitis, although they have the other options too of course).

news about the release date of the nova  tuner /DAB?

when i purchased my NDX ,i spoke to someone about the fm module and decided not to have it fitted . he did say it was rarely asked for so i guess it is very low on their picking list  ..still have my audio lab 8000 tuner ,works perfect since the late 90s.    why not buy a classic fm tuner .quad fm4 in good nick about £140, naim too  £300

Or why not just get the FM tuner for the NDX to begin with.  I have one fitted to my 272 (system I spend most of my time with), & soon to be installed NDX into my other system.  I'm happy that I went with the tuner module - use it frequently.

iRadio bit rate can be an issue but I tend to use radio as background music when pottering around and use other sources for serious listening. To my ears Dab is no better than iRadio, perhaps because it has similar bit rates. FM is quite acceptable even for serious listening but still not the best. In the end, when I upgraded, I decided to forego FM and Dab and use iRadio. The quality of the highest bit rate stations (so called HD stations, though I would dispute that title as they clearly are not) such as Naim, Linn and BBC are really quite good.

I'm hoping a few more stations will follow Radio Paradise, and set up a FLAC stream.

Adding a tuner will be cancelling the All in One concept of the Uniti.

as for the previous Uniti models it should be possible to get the Uniti Nova with the Dab/FM.

still don't understand why it is so difficult to get a firm leadtime. 

An official answer from Naim would be most appreciated.
