I have seen this alot of times, but never listen to them, anyone here with experience of Black Diamond Racing ?

Black Diamond Racing
The Pyramid Cones
Have you ever wanted to trade up your speakers to something that will give you tighter, better defined bass, improved upper bass and midrange clarity, more focused soundstaging, but you know you'd have to lay down another one to two kilobucks, or more, to get that notch up in performance. Well, that's the type of improvement I got with $120 worth of cones under my stands!
???? Furthermore, these little fellas improved my DAC! The DAC improvement wasn't nearly as great as with my speakers, but still, compared to what upgrading your DAC (or other electronic components) cost, I think you owe it to yourself to read on.

◾ about feets and Cisco's,a friend who lives in Gothenburg, called me today and told me about some cheap rubberfeets that he has found to his Cisco-switch. If you know Linn's levels.....Akurate to Klimax level. The different was as big as that if we talk soundquality he told me◾
It's you who talk about a never ending optimization,....not me❗ You put words in my mouth that I never had say.
But pot up a top-level system can take up to a year, if you shall take care of everything in your home. As I say in another thread, the method Tune-Dem, is extremely good to use when you do a system-installation. Coming from the Linn/Naim world. It's a little difficult to learn, but when you are familier with the method, the result is often extremly good.
/Peder ????
i say never ending because you are always wanting to upgrade the cisco switch since more than one year now. Sorry, but you were asking the same last year if cisco 3560 is better than 2960 you already have, now rubber feet under the cisco and some torque optimization on the cisco..... For me i have this cisco 8tc factory reset, the sound is very good, and i am happy with it.
???? French Rooster, since last year we have order 30 Cisco's 2960, in 2 group-order to our forum members here in Sweden. Now we shall order 15 more,we do this as a service to our members, from a very good company in Europé.We pay a little more, but have full control on the quality of every Cisco,......and Yes,some has had lower soundquality. It matters to us,maybe not to you....but to us.
And I asked the question about the 3560 again, because maybe Simon.....or other here has had more experience of the 3560.....found some new installation or something else that give more SQ. As I say,it's important to us....and good to have, maybe any new information BEFORE we order 15 more Cisco's.
◾ It feels strange, that I must explane why I asked a question on this forum.....must everyone who ask questions here do that❓
We have also order a Cisco router,to see if we can have some higher SQ against ordinary Asus home-routers.Our experience from 1983 to this date, is that everything matters if you take care of "Attention To Detail".
That's the difference between you and me/us ????......we always look forward. We are a group of 60 friends around Sweden,on our secret forum who help each other to optimaze our system.....and we have real fun all the time.Meet each other, playing music and much more ????????.
For example,in this group we have tested alot,.....and I say ALOT of ehternet-cables against the Cisco and different streamer/nas.It's an interesting subject,....I now ????.
I have already told you about the result my friend in Gothenburg has, with this ◾rubberfeet.....believe it or not.....it doesn't matter to us,I give an advice to better SQ from the Cisco, use it or not......but I can tell you,we test everything before we give advice. So we now vat we talk about,of course the result can be bigger or smaller in other setups.....but you have the direction to go for.
???? JAMES N,......Lejonklou Hifi is one of many, who use torque-settings even on audioboards in his ordinary production. Everyone who has heard before and after, can tell the difference. I can't tell you why,but the difference in better SQ are there if you find the right Nm.
I think it's not so hard to understand if we think about hifi-racks......seems it's all about microphoni......but I agree,it's hard to understand. Another thing hard to understand, the SQ from the Cisco is better if you have the Cisco on a Mana Reference Table, than on a Naim Fraim-rack.
I can only tell you our experience, how you use the information is up to you,but please don't be ironic....that's a little low level for this fine forum.
You can't explane evrything, but who cares, use and trust your ears ????. Hope you can understand my swedenglish ????????.
/Peder ????
i have tested with my friends 122 different racks with the cisco 2960, we had the best results with finite elemente pagode master reference rack, only dedicated to the cisco switch, with stillpoints ultra under the rack and under the cisco, and different woods for the pagode rack: the mahassacar wood, 3, 007 mn , sounded the best. We also experimented different colors of the switch, the black/grey sounded best .
Next week we will begin to test around 100 different power cords with the cisco, it will be very exciting !

Sorry for you French Rooster,do you realy think this input from you is..........I have no words for it.
◾ Down here was the last thing I write in my latest input.
???? I can only tell you our experience, how you use the information is up to you,but please don't be ironic....that's a little low level for this fine forum.????
/Peder ????
It's because of such input-crap.... we have our secret forum with our real names,no nickname to hide behind. We have never ever any problems, just fun.
If you have done your homework, you should know that this torque-settings of audioboards, is welknown around the world.....from serious costumer to the people who build our stuff. Strange that you don't know about this❓
◾ But it is bad behaivor to be ironic, just because you don't know about a subject.
An example,a guy who has been a member for many, many years at the Swedish Linn-forum came over to us. After he has been 2 month at our forum, he write an input in the Swedish Linn-forum.......???? I have learn me more in 2 month on the secret forum, than all the years I have been here????
So,...Yes,we are seriosly.....and if we give advice, you can trust that it is seriosly meant advice...that we have tested. But we have also alot of fun.....but NOT in that bad behavier ironic way.
/Peder ????
French Rooster posted:lot of fun this forum.
You must be the only one who think that,I would appriciate if you can STOP WRITING in my thread....you are a shame in/on this fine forum.

French Rooster posted:ok Mr Guru hifi Peder, time to go back to the original thread: black diamond racing cones. Whouah, what a super name, like ferrari diamond racing wheels. The sound must be quicker and these cones, for 50 dollars set of 3, must be something special too.
I think i will try some nasa aerospace grade cones for 50 dollars set of 3. Ask also my doctor if he can torque my ears, perhaps the soundstage will open....
Mr French Rooster,.......For your information, I have report this, and another input from you here in my thread to the site moderator.
This behavier from you is NOT normal, and NOT accepteble. I say to you.....STOP RIGHT NOW WITH THIS❗

To all of you members on this fine and informative Naim-forum. Excuse me, that you have to read such offended, ironic inputs in my thread.
I don't write so often here, and when I do I have this offended, ironic inputs from Mr French Rooster..........Again,excuse me for that behavier in my thread.
/Peder ????
Peder, I'm afraid that if French Rooster were to stop writing in this thread, there would be no one else left.
French Rooster, maybe something has been lost in translation here, but it's probably best you to take a break from the thread. Thanks.
docmark posted:Peder, I'm afraid that if French Rooster were to stop writing in this thread, there would be no one else left.
Hi docmark ????
It doesn't matter, better than someone who offended you. It's strange that a guy can go on like this,he doesn't now me or my experience, but treat me like a dummy beginner. I asume your a doctor,I don't think you like if a patient start to offended you and your education ????.It says alot about the guy who behave like that.
I get 2 answer about BDR cones. I shall have an USB-dac with my PC so I shall try this and other thing in that "setup".
As I say earlier,a guy who has the Euphonia Audioforum has alot of this BDR-products.....he's from Gothenburg (Sweden). He's a real high end guy, have alot of different monoblocks, many Sonus Faber speakers, many headphones and other stuff around this hifi-hobby. He's a teacher, but also a very good fotograph,he take pictures on hifiequipment for hifimagasin all around europe.
If he has this BDR products,I think it can't be to bad....maybe I'm wrong,we shall see after I tested one set of cones ????????????.
/Peder ????
Peder, I don't think members have meant to cause offence here. Perhaps a degree of humour about the name of the product in question perhaps? As is often the case, I think that humour doesn't always travel well and subtleties of meanings and intent are easily lost online. Probably best to call it quits and move on.
[@mention:68159343997754055] - there is a blocking function in the forum settings, which can sometimes come in handy. I've only had to use it twice, but it improved my forum experience no end... Just sayin'
Richard, most I agree with you ????????,I run a forum here in Sweden and write alot of inputs every day.But these level of inputs we have never had on our forum.
But,as you say....now we move on,case closed ????????.
Richard Dane posted:French Rooster, maybe something has been lost in translation here, but it's probably best you to take a break from the thread. Thanks.
i deleted my last threads, my humor was a bit ironic but not nasty. Here in France these sense of humor is more common, and not considered in general as an offense. I take a break also.
