Imgur - upload via email

For anyone who uses Imgur, the upload via email option is apparently no longer available. This appears to be a new development. I tried uploading some pics last night, logged an issue and received confirmation via Support overnight that the email option ‘has been removed and is no longer available at this time’.

I never noticed it was on option! If I wanted to add an image from an email, I always saved it as a JPEG and uploaded that to Imgur. Presumably, that is still possible.

(I'd only ever used the email method before and I can't now remember why I started out that way...)

Nick, there’s an app called Imgury that is easy to use. If my computer is to hand, I usually just send the image to that and use Imgur.

Thanks - I’ve been using my laptop too as is easier. Will try Imgury.

Which imgur app do you use? I have given up trying to upload images from Flickr, but I cannot find an imgur app in the AppStore which seems to relate to photo uploading.

The official app, Clive. Finally worked it out...

You can upload direct within the app from photo library. To post from Imgur to the forum, press down and hold on your image until you get a copy link option. This will give you a link ending .jpg. (The seemingly more obvious ‘share’ option doesn’t produce a link with .jpg at the end...)
