HDX CdRom

Posted by: Scarville on 23 March 2018

Hi and please help! We have just purchased a preloved HDX, it has obviously been used before therefore will not connect to network itself, we do not have the CDROM are there any suggestions as to where we may find one so that we can re configure? We have so far been unable to locate a disc.... Hopefully yours...????

Can you not get into the settings menu via the remote (is there a spanner button on the remote, like with the Unitis?) and reset it to factory settings?

I wish, the remotes on its way, so maybe its a case of just waiting and see? Thanks for that though worth a try,

I don't think I used a CDROM when I bought my HDX ex-dem. The manual is here and I'm pretty sure I just used the instructions in that and the remote as HH suggested.

You should be able to reset the network or do a full factory reset from the touchscreen. If that doesn't work for you get in touch with Phil here on monday, who will have you up and running in a jiffy.

Probably the HDX has a fixed IP address instead of that it is set to DHCP. Please have a look here:

My advice is also get the HDX serviced as the sound improvement is enormous. Plus I suspect due to the amount the HDX does under its hood, servicing is more important than that for a pre.
