Happy retirement Steve. Sorry to see you go. Many thanks to you (and also to your former colleagues) for the great Naim sound. I hope the new team maintains the great Naim heritage you all created.
All the best Steve...
Steve Hopkins. Naim legend.
Enjoy your well deserved retirement, Steve.
Sheila, Doug, Paul, Steve, et al. That's a lot of heritage gone in the last few years and all helped build the best Hi-Fi company in the world.
What few saw, Steve answering the email sales/support mailbox after hours, weekends, holiday shutdowns , his holidays - hundreds of hours working for free - no-one ever asked him to do it- he just cared- open all hours hopefully he can sit back and enjoy his music at home now!
Thanks for all your help in the past Steve, and I wish you a very happy and long retirement.
Many thanks Steve for all the help and guidance you have given me - a truly top man.
Enjoy your well deserved retirement

I remember being told that if you want to know how much you you will be missed from an organisation, you should put your hand in a bucket of water, take it out and look at the space you've left.
In your case, it's going to be like removing bricks from a wall. You've been a fantastic ambassador for the industry, not just Naim, and the fact that everyone feels you've been their special friend speaks volumes. You will definately be missed. Thank you for all the support over the years. Its been a joy to know you.
We hope your plans come to fruition and that you enjoy a long, happy and relaxed retirement.
All the best from Andy, Rhea and Alastair
Many thanks Steven for your help over the years. You were always such an unflappable and obliging chap to deal with. The customer service you provided was exemplary and Naim will find it hard to replace you.
Enjoy your retirement.

It looks like the girls in white coats have come for you Steve.
We didn't interact very much, Steven, but when we did it was a pleasure meeting and talking with you. I wish you much enjoyment in your retirement, however I have to caution you that retirement is not all that it is cracked up to be, and I say this with a few years of retirement under my belt... I'm not sure what your family circumstances are, but I'll assume, if I may, that there is a Mrs Hopkins in the background. Retirement, you will quite quickly discover, means that you are now an additional resource to SWMBO; indeed a resource that's available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For my own part, I had devised a timetable (knowing that you have to keep busy or go 'ga-ga' in retirement) that included hours each day devoted to the things I had always wanted to do but never quite had the time; not only listening to my music collection, but also some gardening, DIY, walking, cycling and reading.
Unknown to me, 'her indoors' was doing the exact same thing for me, she too understanding that, in retirement, one has to keep busy or lose one's marbles. So she was, in her mind, being helpful, wishing to make my life fulfilling and occupied.
I'm sure you can imagine right away that the two lists were about as far apart as is possible to be, and you can probably guess with ease which list of passtimes (aka chores) I currently fill my days with.
A salulatory warning... have a well prepared defence (excuse) against a list of "things you'd perhaps like to do in your spare time" that may be unexpectedly presented to you early in your retirement.
Roger (an Acoustica customer)
Very funny Roger- I get where you are coming from but its worked out fine for me so far...,
Good luck Steven!

Steve and I can both be a couple of curmudgeonly old northern - erm - devils but it has been fantastic working with him here over the years and it's so freakishly weird seeing his desk tidy for a change.
So I hope he's still tucked up in bed with a mug of tea that reads "I'm Retired - go ask someone else!" on the side and is chuckling that we all had to haul ourselves in to work through the dismal, wet, grey weather this morning but if you're reading this Steve then please remember, I HAVE YOUR MOBILE NUMBER SO YOU CAN'T ESCAPE!!!!
