Mu-So ... Unable to download firmware V1.6.0 with iOS app

Posted by: Patrick74200 on 06 April 2018

Hello,

I can't update my Mu-So because it's impossible to download the firmware with iOS app. I have also a Uniti Star on the same network and, with it, I haven't no problem to update to version 4.6.

My network is up-to-date and I haven't no issue to download anything with my Pcs.

Do you have a link to download this update ? Thank you for your help and support.

Hi Patrick,

The update for the Mu-so is done over the air and as such does not require a download. In the Naim App you should see a downward pointing arrow which activates the update.

Thanks for your answer !

That's exactly what I did.

The progress bar stops and I get the following message: Muso_V1.6.0(14289)_1.1NAP3_4173.bcd cannot be downloaded

It may be that the download server is busy or down, so you could try again later. I expect a lot of people are trying to run this update today.

Anyway you can't download it another way.

Also it wouldn't do any harm to reboot your muso and also swipe off and restart the IOS app.

Hi Patrick,

I had this issue on Android, and David's suggestion would ring true, we all get to the weekend and start to update, creating busy servers.

I aborted my install Friday night (worked for me, I guess not really recommended), the progress had stuck at around 10%, for 3 hours, with no info from the app other than don't turn it (the app) off.

I restarted the process (killed app and restarted QB), it took about 5-10 mins.

Hope it goes well.

Actually I believe you can load the firmware using a USB stick. Speak to Naim service desk and they can mail yo the file to put o your stick along with instructions. I did this when I git stuck a couple of versions ago. Mind you - I have just loaded from IOS app - did everything OK - then Muso turned itself off!

Much better to persist at downloading it "over the air". It's almost certainly working again now.

I was able to update my “classic” Mu-so this evening using the IOS app on my iPad Pro. Maybe it’ll work for the OP now too.
