still no Nova.

Still no Nova..this is getting insane! and driving me nuts.
Fred, I'm not sure what you mean here. The Naim Nova is out and Naim is AFAIK building and supplying as fast as they can. If you mean you're still waiting for one from your dealer then that is who you need to speak to. Failing that, get in touch with the distributor as there may be some other reason for a delay.
Up til now it"s a guessing and probably game and no one seems to get any wiser. My dealer doesn"'t know other then a non educated guess. The distributor does not seem to know either.
If the distributor doesn't know then that's a concern. Only they can give the answers to this one...
Guess waiting is the best thing to do. So I wait again and again and again. Maybe next year!
Just curious but how long have you been waiting? What country are you in?

I waited for a year before getting my hands on it so I completely understand how you feel. Where are you located? If you don't mind, you can preorder and at least lock in today's price in case price jump again. It did a couple of times in my case.
A Year? Holy Moly. 4 Months now. But it was already a backorder. I live and wait in Holland.
It should be easy for your dealer to ask the Dutch distributor to call/email Naim to establish when you can expect the arrival of your Nova. It's not rocket science, is it??!!
He did....But the date is first of all uncertain and delayed several times. Last update...distributor expected a delivery yesterday.
Too bad Fred, strange that Latham can’t provide you with an indication of the delivery date ... hope it’ll be worth waiting for
Latham did several times. But still nothing. I am going to wait till Friday. Them I cancel the whole sjebang.
It would seem that Naim have underestimated the demand for the new Uniti models. I assume they’re churning them out as fast as they can - whilst maintaining high levels of QC. Let’s hope they don’t ship production to China to increase output!

Fair enough that demand might be really high. But still, one should expect that a rough if not reasonably accurate delivery estimate could be provided. It's a simple planning exercise, isn't it? The "management of expectation" is an important part of achieving customer satisfaction. Leaving customers in limbo is really not good...

It would have been enough to read the first post I posted about the new Uniti series. I told that they would sell in tons. But they didn't read it, or I am not considered a reliable enough sample of the world's population. This was meant to be partly a joke.

Fred,
seems nothing is ever straightforward, however, I have done some investigating and it seems that the Nova is already in transit to the distributor and that you should contact your retailer tomorrow or at your earliest convenience for an update on delivery.
Thanks a Milion Richard....Yes...my dealer contacted me this afternoon, telling that Finally the Nova did arrive at Lathams. Ready to send forward to my local dealer.
glad to hear that your nova will soon be in your possession. Hope you have your speakers and wire all lined up. Keep us informed! also what speakers?
Regardless if there is a causal relation, but allante93! would say 'the forum at its best!!!'

Benjy....After a long search and investigation. Harbeth M30.1. Before that I owned the Harbeth ps3esr monitor speakers.
Any first impressions yet?

Sorry to hear that ... next week I suppose?
Letys hope so...

I now know more then I did some time ago....It seems to be logistical problem. A problem that had nothing to do with NAIM or the Dutch distributor Latham. In the end they were not to blame at all. Sorry that I could give that impression.
Only fair to mention, let's hope this will be sorted out quickly ...
