What was the last cassette tape you bought?

Lloyd Cole and the Commotions: Rattlesnakes / Easy Pieces - £2,99! - Good condition.
Ah, OK, that's a shame. I did hear that some parts are getting low in stock with Bowers and I guess with the amount of work he has on, he's had to draw a line somewhere. I guess, you have two choices; first ask someone in the UK to send it in for you. Or alternatively get it touch with Phono Service in Germany - phonoservice.de
Why are they selling spare parts then to anywhere in the world if they are so low on stock?? They even have non-standard parts they use and modify if necessary to get a deck serviced. All this is on their 2018 site.
Many thanks for the link Richard, you gave me some hope again. I'll contact them.
Drikus posted:Went crazy in the last five minutes. Kept cool and raised my maximum bid in the last two seconds and won the auction! Final price: £1200, already paid. Got a budget of £1750 so with the B&W service included that will be around that figure somewhere I expect.
Nice result [@mention:73370968263941422] - please do keep us posted. £1,200 is a reasonable price I think.
Drikus posted:Moment of joy didn't last long. Heard back from Paul Wilkins. The have a new policy and I quote "Unfortunately we are unable to service Dragon decks from outside the UK now. We have very few parts and lots of Dragons are coming back from our own country so we have had to start this policy." I have trouble understanding this new policy. He's willing to let a classic deck like this go to waste without a second thought just because I’m not from the UK? Well, there's no other word for it, I'm ****ed. Only thing I can do now is sell it on I guess. Luckily for me they are in high demand. I'm back from where I started, nowhere...
Don't lose hope [@mention:73370968263941422].
Have you tried Willy Herman or ESL (Electronic Service Labs) or ANT Audio? They might be able to help... alternatively head over to the Naks or Tapeheads forums and pit a query out there, I'm sure there will be someone who can service this machine for you, B&W are not the only option.
Drikus,
Great advice from Kevin.I am sure any of the above and Richards recommendation of The Phono service in Germany will be able to get it done for you.Shame about B @ W though.Just goes to show how busy they are and a reflection on how cassette has come back into vogue again as a replay medium.
Keeping my paws crossed for a good result with the service
Cheers Ian
Willy Hermann and ESL are both US based, not an option for me. ANT Audio seems to be selling only alignment cassettes these days, nothing else, mailed him anyway, you never know. I've also mailed Phonoservice in Germany, haven't got a reply yet but I think that's the best option for me right now.
Good news, Phonoservice Germany will service my Dragon! Thanks again Richard for the link.

Richard already answered your question but here's a pic from the manual showing the sockets;
I now also know the cable length of the RM-20.
Contacted the seller of the RM-20 remote. Here it is;
Looks in good shape.
Good news Drikus. How long is their turn-around?

Great!
Great Result Drikus - Thats some turn around time.You will be getting a Dragon in pristine condition ......money well spent as I am sure it will hold its value .
