It’s a problem with the driver. Make sure it’s the latest one, and that you unzip it before running. There is plenty of advice on the long 4.6 thread.

Thank you, followed your advice and saved the driver, then extracted it, then ran it, and now it's updated

again thanks

I too have the same problem, however, I think it is related to the port, I.e the noted port reference is not showing, instead it shows a Bluetooth port only. My presumption is that the usb / mini b cable I have is for charging purposes only ( have ordered a data version) and is causing this, however, if somebody more technically aware than me believes that the issue may well be caused by something else then it would be good to hear.

I downloaded the driver and checked it is in place (best to my knowledge) as per the instructions for my Mac.

Hi David,  I don't believe its the cable, it will be the driver, I too thought the driver was installed correctly, in device manager it was showing up and say the device was working, my mistake with the driver was, that when I downloaded it I clicked run when I should have clicked save, then extract all then run it, so I uninstalled the driver and the software and downloaded it again but this time saved it , extracted it, then followed the instructions and it was sorted, if it was not for the other member pointing this out to me I would have bought another cable, as I too thought it was the cable,

David your issue may be down to the security settings in System Preferences > Security and Privacy. There was a long thread on this for Mac users who could only see the Bluetooth port https://forums.naimaudio.com/to...driver-in-osx?page=1 on page 2 Kacper has highlighted a possible solution. I have to say the documentation from Naim was uninspiring to say the least. Maybe they just assume we will all schlep our gear back to a dealer to do the work??

I also think that Naim expect people to know how to install 3rd party software on their own personal computers!

Thanks, found the solution as part of the thread you sent me the link for via Seth’s feedback.
