NDX iradio presets

Posted by: PBenny1066 on 30 April 2018

have had an NDX (latest firmware) for just over a year and today decided to edit the iradio presets. I was hoping it would be similar to editing presets on the mu so, but it seems not.  I’ve managed to add stations but now want to delete a few and then order them in the sequence I want. I’ve consulted the manual but could make much sense of it. Also what are “added stations” ? The presets I’ve added don’t sen to appear here either, so I am wondering what is their purpose.

Any help much appreciated.

Love the Naim sound but can’t believe how complicated they seem to make things sometimes. “Intuitive” doesn’t seem to be in their vocabulary .

thanks, paul

It's easiest to do it in the app I think....(the IOS app anyway, I don't know about the Android app).

Thanks David, I have the iOS app but can’t for the life of me see how to do it, any ideas ?

You just press ‘edit presets’ at the bottom of the list in the app. Touching the three dots against the relevant station brings up the delete option. Touching and dragging the preset allows you to move it. Touching edit presets again returns you to operational mode.

HH, got it, many thanks, all good now. Couldn’t see the edit button at the bottom of the long list of presets. Still can’t work out what “added stations” means, but for now it doesn’t matter.

cheers, paul

Added stations means stations that you have added yourself by logging into vTuner and entering the URL. I tried it a couple of years ago, but could never get it to work. Only useful if you can’t find the station you want by searching the iRadio input.

Hi Chrissu, thanks for clarifying. I also tried vtuner, following the instructions in the manual and entering the MAC address of the ndx (which took me about 1/2 hour to find....) and it didn’t work either. Perhaps it’s now a redundant feature ? Iradio seems to have found anything  I have asked of it....

Yes, there is a huge selection of stations available, and I only listen to about 3 of them, so I never really felt the need to add more through vTuner. Sometimes it's a bit tricky to search for a station in the app, as there is no 'global' search.
