Will NDX2 have a USB

If you mean a USB input from, say, a computer, I doubt it very much, as the other streamers using the new platform don’t. 

Thats what i meant although i am actually thinking of the Sonore Ultrarendu which i currently use via a Mutec MC-3 to feed Roon into my NDX . I was planning to sell all of that when i get the NDX2 but Tidal Masters sound so much better now the Sonore has MQA i may keep it . 

NDX2 will be a Roon ‘endpoint’, although Naim are not supporting MQA at the moment.

The NDX2 might have one or more USB interfaces but whether or not one will be able to connect and automount external drives, receive data from a USB renderer or connect to a USB DAC, will depend on the OS running on the device.

All we know is that the OS of the new Uniti range is a dedicated Linux system and that the new classical range of devices will use the same streaming platform of the Uniti range. Thus, they will likely run a customized version of the same OS.

To the best of my knowledge, Naim have not released any documentation of their OS. It does not have an official naim, is generically called "firmware" and they are still implementing new functionalities and improving it via regular upgrades.

All the new Naim units are Roon endpoints and will provide MQA first unfold through Roon since 1.5 update so you could ditch the Sonore.
