272 & CD player remote control

I have since day one used the ‘system automation’ along with 3.5mm plug/ wire connections to operate the CD5xs from naim app, and this is fine, but what I really miss is the 272 remote control also operating the CD player, for full convenience.

so I was looking again at the System Automation on the 272 and can see other stuff under ‘Advanced’ which appears to show the ‘play’ ‘pause ‘ etc allocated to the numerical pad. I have had a mess around but it doesn’t seem to do anything.

anyone no more about these advanced automation setting? And most importantly will it do what I want?
