I often find comparisons of Naim equipment to be misleading. One person says this is better the other says that is better.
The true test of which is better is this:
Which do you see for come up for sale less often? The answer is clear. The winners are 52,CDS1,32.5,CDI etc...

There is only one test of which Naim kit is better and it is not the one you suggest. Could it be that several of the items you suggest conked out years ago or that very few buyers now want those items?
The answer will of course be different depending on who you ask.

I'd think that how often something comes up for sale would have a lot to do with how many were bought in the first place. That, in turn, would have a lot to do with how desirable the box was when Naim offered it for sale. Under that scenario, there is more of the highly regarded stuff available for resale.

Mikeybaby, the ones that don't come up for sale often may not necessarily be because they were or are the 'best', it could be, he says tongue in cheek, because they're busted beyond economic repair! The best selection of music reproduces, separates or otherwise, and it doesn't necessarily have to be Naim is the one that has you and the rest of your family fighting over what music to listen to rather than what TV programme to watch or what game to play.
