Does anyone know if Naim plan to remove AMG as a metadata lookup engine? the service is now inactive so adds another minute to each rip....

I haven’t noticed rips taking any longer recently. Is your firmware up to date?

I also don't think it should add any time to ripping, but as Chris is hinting, if you are still on 1.7a firmware then it certainly is worth doing a firmware update to 1.7b which adds a new metadata provider that is used if AMG doesn't respond to a lookup request. And answering the question, I really doubt that Naim will do any more firmware updates for Unitiserve unless the metadata services used in 1.7b stop too.

I'm having exactly the same issue as Danny.  Pop the disc in and the drive starts up then stops dead for a minute or so while it tries to lookup the metadata on AMG before finally deciding to look elsewhere.   Definitely adds a fair amount of time to the ripping process and frustratingly, of the four new discs I tried to rip today, it could only find the metadata for one.

My UnitiServe is on firmware 1.7b.
