What have people seen for dr/recap cost rate increases? Last November the cost for xps2 dr and recap was 2295, this week was quoted 2995. That is a change of 30% here in Canada.
Guessed I missed the boat and should have sent the unit in last November. Since I had a trip planned to Montreal this summer for the F1 I figured I would drop it off in person. Ouch.

I’d be interested to know the price to have the DR upgrade installed on my NAP500, which was £4,200, but I expect it has increased. I’m still waiting to be advised by my dealer when he’ll be able to do a back to back demo of pre to post DR NAP500

Interesting thing is that despite some peaks and valleys both the British pound and Canadian dollar are at nearly the same value from November to now, assuming there's some association with Naim replacement parts being sourced from Britain. Have Canadian service costs really increased that much in half a year? 30% seems a gouge.

The service costs and parts costs might have changed but I doubt 30%. However I suspect the driver is related to profitability. I understand that there is value to the dr upgrade and recap by adding capability and extending the life of the asset. The naim bottom line finances must be a factor. If everyone only upgrades to dr then less buy new and that revenue drops ( not only for naim but the North American importer and the resellers). So, I am sure prices have been adjusted to provide better/more profits from service and/or drive more customer to evaluate the service cost against trade in and buy.
