Hybrid racking

Here's my current arrangement. I have recently added the Fraim, having had two Hutter racks before. I expect that there will be advice to replace the Hutter with Fraim, which no doubt will be advantageous, but I have some short-term questions. I can of course try possibilities for myself, but it's time consuming and I welcome advice before I start.

Left:

LP12
252
Radikal

Right:
CDS3
Supercap DR
XPS
250DR

LP12 - on the Hutter or the Fraim? I am assuming that if one source has to be on the brawn stack it should be the CD player, but maybe the Fraim would suit the LP12 better, despite the power supplies.

In a recent thread Richard suggested that it was better not to have an LP12 on too many Fraim shelves, for stability. Is there any advantage in having the blank shelves on the left in the current set up - one not two?

CDS3 - not best on the brawn stack, but is the blank shelf of any benefit?

Would anyone suggest a significantly different configuration?

Thanks, Clive

Try moving the CDS3 onto the 'brain' stack as you have spare shelves (and you probably won't be using the LP12 and CDS3 at the same time).

Try swapping the Hutter and Fraim over (Fraim as 'brain', Hutter as  'brawn') - you'll never know 'til you tried it!

Thanks, Huge, but first option not practicable with top loading CDS3. It's probably worth trying a swap of LP12 and CDS3 though as it's not a major task.

Maybe I will also try your latter suggestion though - when I can gather my strength!

D'oh, I forgot the CDS3 was a top loader.

My bad!
